Bestseller osmosis systems / reverse osmosis

Buy osmosis system / bestseller 2018 and 2019 of reverse osmosis systems: We keep getting questions about osmosis systems and which ones we would recommend. In an article we have already explained exactly what the Sinn and purpose of an osmosis system is and what it is used for. The exact function is also explained there. Today it is about some devices from well-known manufacturers such as Dennerle, JBL, Clictus, Osmotech and Co to present. In addition to the price and the performance features, it's all about the Customer Reviews and Tests to take a closer look, so that you can also make a statement about the quality.

Dennerle Osmosis Compact 130 and Professional 190

We would like to start with two systems from the company Dennerle has. Dennerle is known for the quality of their systems and the price/performance ratio. Let's start with the large model with a flow rate of 190 liters per day. Under practical conditions, the Osmosis system Professional 190 between 80 and 185 liters per day at a water temperature of 8 - 18 degrees. This should be sufficient for most aquariums, as the Water change yeah it won't be every day. For large breeding facilities, this can of course be quite tight. The retention rate is at least 95 percent. The ratio between osmosis water and residual water is about 1:2,5 to 1:4. Of course, this depends on the water temperature and the water pressure. The membrane, which is responsible for the osmosis process, is a modern polyamide / polysulfone membrane. Also a Activated carbon filter was installed. This protects against chlorine and another fine filter protects against suspended matter in the water. So one should UVC clarifier not be necessary.

The connection to the mains is also not a problem, because a ¾ inch washing machine connection is already included in the set.

The price of the Professional 190 is around 85 euros and the test reports and customer opinions are also impressive. Of course you don't have a professional system here yet, but this should be completely sufficient for fewer aquariums.

Services
Dennerle Osmose Professional 190 - complete system for the production of soft, ultrapure water
  • Complete system for the production of soft, ultra-pure water
  • Removes hardness, salts and pollutants. Activated carbon filter protects against chlorine, fine filter protects against suspended matter.
  • Immediately ready for connection - including water tap connection 3/4" ('washing machine connection')
  • Modern Polyamide/Polysulfone Membrane - Retention Rate: At least 95%
  • Maximum output (rated output): 190 l / day at 25°C and 4,1 bar pressure

The second model, which also comes from Dennerle, is the Dennerle 7039 Osmosis Compact 130. As you can already tell from the name, these systems manage to filter significantly less water per day. Unfortunately, there is no exact information, but we assume a maximum of 130 liters. As with the 190 Professional system, the ratio between osmosis water and residual water is 1:2,5 to 1:4. Here, too, you have to tap water pressure and also note the temperature.

In both systems, not only the membrane but also the filters can be changed, which should always be done at certain intervals.

We also recommend the exchange intervals which the manufacturer specifies in the operating instructions.

A word about the price. Of course, the small device is cheaper. Around 55 euros are due here, which could also be interesting for beginners. The tests and opinions of the customers are also very positive. Of course you have to keep in mind that this system is especially suitable for smaller aquarium volumes. nano cymbal will find good use here and if you don't do water changes very often you have plenty of capacity here.

Dupla RO 190 Dupla RO 270 osmosis system

Another manufacturer when it comes to reverse osmosis systems is the company Double. Here, too, we would like to present two models, which are currently available at very reasonable prices. Let's start with the smaller plant Dupla RO 190, which could be equated with the Dennerle Professional 190, because similar amounts of water have to be produced here too. Dupla specifies 100 - 190 liters of service water per day. This corresponds to the osmosis water.

The performance of this reverse osmosis system is also assumed at temperatures of 8-15 degrees. In addition, a pressure of between 2 and 4 bar is assumed. Dupla also specifies the retention rate with nitrates between 92 and 97% and silicates with 94 – 96 percent. Sulfates should be retained up to 97 - 98%.

Included with this system is a 5 µm fine filter. A flow limiter is also included as well as the direct connection to a ¾ inch water pipe. The price of this system is 87 euros. So you could say that it is almost as expensive as the Dennerle.

Dupla 80555 RO 190 reverse osmosis system
  • Complete reverse osmosis system mounted on a plate
  • Creates an optimal starting water for saltwater and freshwater aquariums
  • Including carbon filter, 5 µm fine filter, flow rate limiter and 3/4 inch connection for water pipe
  • Average output at 8 - 15 °C and 2 - 4 bar pressure 100 - 190 l process water per day
  • Retention rate for example 92-97% nitrates, 97-98% sulfates and 94-96% silicates

The second installation of Drupal with the Dupla RO 270 osmosis system differs basically only from the performance data. Here you have a daily usage volume of 200 - 270 liters. All other factors are the same. The price here is of course much higher at around 118 euros. But the customer opinions are much more important. You quickly find out that there are far fewer customer reviews here, but this system still seems to be a real one buy recommendation be.

Dupla 80581 RO 270 reverse osmosis system
  • Complete reverse osmosis system
  • Creates an optimal starting water for saltwater and freshwater aquariums
  • Including carbon filter, 5 µm fine filter, flow rate limiter and 3/4 inch connection for water pipe
  • Average output at 8 - 15 °C and 2 - 4 bar pressure 200 - 270 l process water per day

Osmotech osmosis system professional 190l / 285l / 380l / 570l

A rather interesting line of devices also has Osmotech in their portfolio. We particularly liked the scalability of the four models, because as you can already see from the title, these devices differ in terms of the amount of domestic water they can supply per day. With the large system, up to 570 liters are possible here. The design is also something special here. The profile line from Osmotech is very compact. As always, the point with these systems is that Uranium, heavy metals and also nitrate from the aquarium through the Water change is transported and these substances are then also removed from the tap water. Limescale can also be removed quite easily. It starts with the systems filtering through a sediment filter. There coarse particles are loosened. This could also be rust, for example. After the sediment filtering (must be rinsed and cleaned from time to time), it goes into the activated carbon filter (which, by the way, has to be replaced from time to time). Here they will be organic contaminants in tap water removed. Only then does it come to the actual membrane, which ensures that further pollutants are removed. With this water, a water change in the aquarium or nano aquarium is no longer a problem.

With the delivery of all four models should also be a universal adapter be there for the faucet. In addition, a switching mechanism is integrated, which allows you to distinguish between osmosis water and tap water. On the pictures you can see quite well that these are really compact models.

We also liked the four connection options on the front of the device, because you can even connect a storage tank there. All lines are already routed to the front, so you only have to insert a hose.

Within the Osmotech osmosis system professional there is also the option of a built-in Manometers. This shows the pressure exactly. We missed this with Dennerle and also with the models from Dupla.

This also allows for a Automatic switch-off. With this it is possible that the further water supply is interrupted when the tap is closed. Of course, you can find more about this in the operating instructions for the systems.

We already mentioned the compact design above. The system is housed in a metal housing, which also has four rubber feet owns. Thus it is possible to connect the device to the Table deliver. But also the wall mounting is guaranteed.

Let's also look at the price, because we also liked it very much. It starts at around 60 euros and the system for 570 liters only costs around 80 euros. A real bargain we would say here. Customers also seem to be quite satisfied, if there are negative comments, then this usually concerns the packaging.

Osmosis system professional (570L)
  • produces UP TO a maximum of 570 l/T reverse osmosis water
  • Level 1: sediment filter 5 microns Level 2: activated carbon filter Level 3: membrane 150 GPD
  • ready for connection with all required accessories
  • optional connection option for storage tank (not included)
  • LxWxH: 36x16x15cm

Filtermaster OSMOPower 2.0

But it's even cheaper, because it's available for around 50 euros Filtermaster OSMOPower 2.0 osmosis system. This system also has a lot to offer, especially for this cheap one Price. The scope of delivery also includes a pre-filter and of course the activated carbon filter. In addition, the osmosis membrane is naturally included. In terms of design, we would compare them with Dennerle devices. The flow limiter is also implemented. A pressure hose for connecting to the tap is also included. This is 3 meters long. This system should also manage 190 liters, which is a decent yield. Unfortunately we could not find anything about the ratio of the residual water. This is crucial to how much ultimately disappears down the drain. In terms of customer ratings and tests, this system seems to be completely convincing. Almost everyone gives 4 stars or more.
